    About the Job

    The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the Chester Plant by performing administrative tasks and being responsible for ensuring office functions are completed in a timely manner.

  • Performs various clerical functions including document preparation, mailings, answering calls, greeting visitors, filing, etc.

  • Prepares and maintains daily and monthly reports including but not limited to Federal regulation reports for EPA, OSHA, etc.

  • Responsible for compilation of payroll data, gathers timecard data and provides to Payroll Department, keeps track of days missed and vacation. Obtains training records for employees and shares with appropriate departments.

  • Handles all building administration such as scale certifications, time clocks, copier, office equipment, supplies, and accounts with U.S. Postal Service, UPS, and FED-EX.

  • Arranges accommodations, meals and other necessary items for site functions such as meetings, special recognition meals, Service Awards, trainings, registrations, travel, reservations, etc. and Acts as a liaison between other departments and plants, as well as visitors.

  • Monitors and tracks rail car deliveries and releases. Generates Certificate of Analysis “COA” as needed and updates load requests for the Plant.

  • Tracks sales and operational activities on a daily and monthly basis.

  • Performs audits as directed by leadership.

    Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, 2 or 4-year degree preferred.

  • Experience: 1+ years administrative or related experience in an industrial environment required.

  • Knowledge: Proficient in Windows, and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Skills: Good organizational and document retention skills. Strong communication skills.

  • Abilities: Capable of handling of information in a confidential and professional manner and preforming unplanned tasks and assignments with minimal advance notice.

  • Behaviors: Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
