    About the Job

    The Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development helps drive the company’s global strategy and corporate development activities including strategic planning, acquisitions, venture investments, joint ventures, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives and inorganic growth activities.

  • Helps develop, implement, and refine corporate strategy across the business; participates in the development of strategic plans and works collaboratively to monitor and communicate overall progress and KPIs.

  • Supports transaction processes from end-to-end including target identification, sourcing, valuation and analysis, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, closing, and integration.

  • Conducts research and analyses on markets, products, competitive landscapes, and supply chains.

  • Builds networks and relationships to identify investment targets and create a pipeline of opportunities; organizes and tracks the pipeline; develops and manages work plans and timelines.

  • Reviews and analyzes investment opportunities; creates valuation models and other financial analyses, and helps develop business cases, strategic justifications, and value creation plans.

  • Develops and presents market assessments, investment reviews, executive summaries, and recommendations.

  • Collaborates with project specific working teams including internal functional leaders, HBM Holdings, and third-party partners (legal, tax, accounting, banks, etc.)

  • Monitors existing business performance, end-markets, and competitive landscape to stay abreast of trends, growth outlooks, and other risks and opportunities.

    Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in strategy, corporate development, finance, accounting, or transactions services; preferably with manufacturing experience.

  • Skills: Possesses a strategic mindset with strong business acumen and quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

  • Abilities: Ability to synthesize concepts and data with strong written communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally; able to navigate ambiguity and multiple projects. Ability to analyze financial statements and build detailed financial models

  • Behaviors: Comfortable communicating, influencing, and negotiating with leadership teams and external parties. Organized, proactive, and works with a sense of urgency.
